Ok I like to hang around here at painting and modelling forum but I'm always amazed by the way other people comment each other work. E.g. when I see some beginners "my first mini"-topic and I look at that and I see some weird ball of blue goo. I ask myself: "Is that suppose to be a space marine? ". But when I scroll down I see peoples comments: "Wow that really cool" and "Keep up the good work".... I understand you don't have to be too harsh but FOR THE EMPEROR'S SAKE IT'S STILL A BALL OF GOO!!! Also I know not everyone can paint as well as other but it isn't an excuse to say something is awsome. I just wish not too many dakka members hate me after this but I don't think lying is an option.
Or maybe I should wash my glasses.

Every time I hear "in my opinion" or "just my opinion" makes me want to strangle a puppy. People use their opinions as a shield that other poeple can't critisize and that is bs.
If you can't defend or won't defend your opinion then that "opinion" is bs. Stop trying to tip-toe and defend what you believe in.
You don't have to ban members for sucking. I think giving them some advice how to come better is a better option.
