it requires the same amount of effort to show your pics here as it does to copy and paste the links to imageshack or photobucket.
Call it laziness, call it link shy for security reasons, either way people will often not click on links redirecting them from the site.
I could have looked at your pics in the time it took me to write this, but I"m making a point. You will get significantly more feedback if your pics actually show on Dakka.

I understand the white is supposed to be messy , but it should still cover the area .
Try using foundation Deneb stone and paint skull white over that . The give it a wash of either devlan mud or badab black . That will make it look good and messy

you see im a realist and though I think your model is nice, it is for all intensive purposes basic. You have an average table top quality which is a good foundation for you to work upon. Work with your brush control a little more then start to insure that your paints are going on smoother as the white and in spots even the green are a little glopped on. I recomend googling painting sites and look up a lot of the golden demon winners web sites for info. More often then not they are excited to help newer painters increase their skills as such with a basic table top paintjob im giving you a 4.5/10. Your average atm nothing more, but your definately not in bad shape.

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House! |

I think you should upload those to the gallery. Im a big fan of the dakka gallery, its really easy to use. Plus youll get a better rate system set up. I also agree with Empchild on the rating, I think the others are being far to nice about the rating. A 10 would be a golden demon winning paint job, and a 1 would be obviously blobs of paint/crayon. So IMO a 4-5 would be an average painter. 6-7 obviously above average and looking pretty good on parts.8-9 is incredibly good painting.
So yea looks average, tho I know your wanting the white to look like an Ork painted it, but it doesnt look finished on some parts, and way to thick on others.

I'm voting 4.
By no means rubbish but marking a model without painted eyes above a 4 doesn't sit well with me.
The 8.5 score is wrong!

I can see alot of people are trying to be nice with all these 8+ but you're not that good mate. Hell, I'm not that good. Here's the scale as I view it:
1: Go home .
2-3: Noobish painter. Can't even do a wash without it looking crappy. No highlighting, no shading, paint's in places it shouldn't be, visible brush strokes. Overall, a nice attempt, but not a very good job.
4-5: Decent-average painter. Knows basic shading and highlighting but fails to truly excell at either. Paint usually in all the right places. Coats tend to be a bit thicker than desired. Overall a decent tabletop quality, but could still be improved upon.
6: Table-top painter. Shading and highlighting is average and paint usually has a good, even coat. Person knows all the basics, but needs to refine them moe. A good, solid tabletop quality.
7: Higher-level table-top/display painter. Shading and highlighting is very well done and paint coats are good with no brush strokes visible. Perhaps some basic blending and NMM have been employed. This is tabletop with a bit of extra lovin or display that's not quite golden demon standard.
8-9: Display quality. You've mastered shading, highlighting, blending, and NMM. You've got excellent skills, but your eye for contrasting colors (although they may be painted well) is just a bit off. Golden demon quality.
10: Godly painting. Everything about your painting is perfect, not a single criticism. Slayer Sword winner quality.
Now going off this scale, and because I cannot make out alot of detail because of the photos, I'm going to have to go with a 4.5.
You should thin your paints down a bit and while I understand you want that "it was painted by Orks" look, it's coming off as more of messy painting than anything.
Keep it up though, it's still not bad!

I would actually have to agree with Darth Bob 100% here... the only time I think your scale can bend is when someone does an almost pure wash mini... Ive seen alot of fantastic mini's done with almost if not all washes

I do my Eldar Ranger and Farseer cloaks entirely with washes and do the base armour for my Grey Knights in the same way, and I must attest to that. They simply look fantastic. Although I can only imagine the skill required to do an entire mini with nothing but.

When you take updated pics, dont shoot into a bright window like that. Go to the other side of the table and shoot with the window to your back and the light shining on the mini's front.
It will give you natural light and a brighter pic and help us all see your mini better.
My rating for it in its current state? 4.5. You can paint better than a lot Ive seen, but you can improve with practice.
