So after you roll to hit with a

a.monstrous creature have S + 2d6 eg: cranifex s9 + (let's say dice 1 : 3 dice 2: 5) =9+3+5 =17

b.ordonace S+ 2d6 BUT you pick the highest score eg: vindicator s10 + ( dice 1: 4 dice 2: 3)-you pick the highest and=10+4=14


c.melta-normal range 1dice to penetrare as normal
- if you are half range you add one extra dice... and waht happens now? you will have 8+2d6(like a monstrous creature?) or pick the highest one as an ordonance?

d.chainfist-terminators - it says you also add one extra dice... does this mean like a monstrous creature 8 + 2d6 adding the 2d6 OR like an ordonace ...i roll 2 d6 but pick the highest score??

C and D are sums of the 2d6.

Yes, melta at half range and chainfists ADD a dice to the result, not pick the highest of two.

You only do this when you're told to

And you don't get the melta or chainfist bonus against monoliths (just to throw an exception in as well).
