Righty, time to badger the Internet a bit again.

This is my Bane Wolf. It's an Ironclad Miniatures resin kit, and to my chagrin, I cannot recommend their vehicles. The resin was hard enough to break some drills of mine, and brittle enough to break into razor-sharp slivers and pieces. The right side track piece broke in five different parts, which I had to reassemble, pin to the hull and glue down.

Some Squats. Torsten is my favorite, really happy with how he and Erik came out. Not so much the others.

And here's some more. Didn't actually get any good pics of them all together, hence these confusing pictures.

you are my hero for painting squats

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

Someone must. Too many of them end up in the dark recesses of some collector's archive. Indeed, many of the ones in those pics had never been painted before I got my hands on them, which is pretty sad for 20+ year old figures.

For me it's always been about using minis for their original purpose. There's something about objects designed for a certain use in mind but never put to that use, that offends me. It's like collecting sneakers that you never wear.

Nice Squats!

Exactly, thats why I'm panting up my RT marines, I recieved three through the post the other day, they hadn't even had the flash cleaned off, let alone painted.

That will change

Lots of figures aren't unpainted because they are in the hands of collectors though, I have loads of RT Marines and they aren't done because they just haven't received the time. I've every intention of doing them one day unless I'm pressed to sell them to make ends meet. I'd agree that many are snapped up by collectors as they go on the open market, but I'd like to think that some people are buying them to paint.

Oh, certainly. I don't want to tar everyone with the same brush. Time is a limited resource, after all, as long as you plan to paint them up someday, or even just play a game with them, that's good enough for me. :-P
