So i have a chaos army but i want 1500 pts in just monsters and play it from time to time

Throgg 175 pts (hero lets me take trolls as troops)

6 ogres, chaos armor halberd cull command, nurgle 360 (or so i got my list wet so letters smeared)

5 ogres, chaos armor, add. hand weapons, full command nurgle 330 (or so i got my list wet so letters smeared)

Thats an intreasting list, i think it might be fun to play. You said you had tried it, how does it work?

I'd say drop the Shaggoth and 1 ogre and get two more units of trolls. But i like were the theme is going.

Dig it! Though I think you need some puppies for puppy duty (and hey, they benefit from Throgg's LD, don't they? So beastly and themey ). I also agree that the shaggy could probably be points better spent, and more trolls the better ... So here's my shot:

THROGG > Check.

MOAR TROLLS > Check. Specifically, a trollstar for Throgg to hang out with, with a respectable US24 for fear duty and outnumbering. Also a huge amount of wounds to sop up and mutate along.

PUPPIES > They do things! Check.

OGRES > Red ogres blitz with loads of S6, Green ogres go wiiiide and also smash things. The champs are kind of wastes of points, so if you want another troll somewhere there's 45 points spare (champ + champ + 5 extra points). Or a 6th green ogre, same points cost and gives you a fairly beefy unit (which I'd run 4-front, 2-rear myself)

Should be a fun list, loads of rampage potential.
