Well, I found myself with a lot of extra's from my Ravenwing sprues. And since I've been on a magnet kick, I tried to make some different options for the rhino kits I have.

So I made the TL-Assault Cannon, TL-Heavy Bolter (with a pic of the real one to compare), and a whirlwind.

As you can see, the HB is quite a bit smaller but still works overall.

It's the WW I'm worried about. The others all look ace; I'm just not convinced about the missiles in that. They don't look deadly enough.

Agreed. Actually, I also use the Ravenwing HB and AC for Razorbacks, but the Typhoon launcher seems too weedy for a Whirlwind. Maybe if you used several...

Well the missiles for the WW can be like the Valk's super frags: loads of small missiles unleashed at once.

Nice work on those, especially the assault cannons.

I thought the HB looked weedy compared to the actual variant, but then again this is 40k and there's no real comparison model to model for the same gun. And for $5 I got the Typhoon, TL HB, TL Assault Cannon all on one sprue. Just need to buy the sponsons and I can field 4 rhino variants with just one rhino (Rhino, Razorback, Predator, and Whirlwind).

Except for the missile launcher, do you really need to magnatize them? I have my Razorback weapons unglued so that they can be swapped out but I've not felt the need for magnets. In fact, the only place I have magnets on my Razorbacks are the sponsons.

Well, I only have 3 of the weapon mounts, so I kinda have to. Used them tonight, and seemed to look OK on the table. Just got to get them painted up.

What were you using for the the turrets? That looks a lil different than the usual razorback turret.

The "turret" piece is from the Aegis Defense Line set. I bought 3 of them so I could equip my dreadnoughts with the TL-Autocannons and this is the piece used to mount the guns to the base.

It just so happens to fit the Razorback slot, and now they're all magnetized so I can fit whatever I want to them (as shown in top pic).
