My friend and i were having an argument about this the other day. Long story short in order to conclude this
how do we know (officially) which units in the imperial army that cannot be taken under a daemonhunters or witchhunters
force? I see alot of executioners being taken in combination with inquisitor lords and grey knights despite the eratta saying
only standard LRBTs can be taken. Why is this?
thanks in advance,
Ennkay

The ones not in the codex or Errata.

so since the errata says no LRBT variants such as the demolisher, how does one take an executioner or a medusa in combination with an inquisitor lord

Legally, you don't.

Of course, TMIR lets you do whatever you want!

There, of course, is a SUPER easy work around......

Take an Imperial Guard army and suppliment in your daemonhunters....

Viola - same list, more options, different fluff

Please note - terms like 'always/never' are carried with the basic understanding that there are exceptions to the rule, and therefore are used to mean generally...

Exactly!

It seems that people often miss out on this opportunity to, perhaps, do what they were trying to do in the first place!

Yes, use the DH as allies to an IG army containing any tanks you like.

There are specific rules in the DH and WH codex for doing this. Whichever way you go, you're still limited as to what you can take, but the limitations are different depending on whether it's an Inquisition army with Guard allies, or a Guard army with Inquisition allies.
