I had paintstripped all my sisters, and was trying to find inspiration for a theme, well, its going to be OZ.

An Order Pronatus (seekers and protectors of ancient relics) stubled upon the ruins of an emerald city, They had befriended the local populace, some of them abhumans, and are even now continuing to explore the city, and the surrounding areas. Two centuries have passed since their initial discovery, and they have begun to reveal their findings to the inquisition in detail, some of the local populace have been taken for training, as there are large numbers of psychics among them, many of them quite resistant to the corrupting effects of such power,

I will be hopefully getting a better camera and keeping this updated as I work, I'm planning on keeping to an oz theme, with a Wizard Inquisitor Lord, the great and powerful himself, an elite Inquisitor Witch, with familiar green skin and a pointy hat. Tin Men, (penitents, Some traditional, some more tin woodsman like. or maybe some Grey knights to be the tin men?) Some Cowardly Lions...(til they are injected with serum, my Arco-Flagellants), I plan on taking one unit of flying monkeys in addition to my normal seraphim.

You get the idea.
Well hopefully this is the first post of many, I'm starting you off with the first model I've repainted, A repentia Mistress (just because she was the only one already primed as I'd never painted her)

Notice her "Ruby Slippers" The mark of a Celestian.

Also if you have tips on how to get a color on the robes closer to the one in the colorscheme pic, and how to layer it, I'd be appreciative.

UPDATE:

Purchased Chaos warhounds to become my lions.

Purchased Gnoblars to be the bodies of my flying monkeys, Reaper's familiar pack 8 is a bunch of birds, I'll be taking their wings.

DUDE i love that color scheme go with it.

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

WIP the first of my flying monkeys, once again camera phone pics so quality is horrible.

These 2 with one arm and one leg furred up

and one with all but half his left leg and his tail done.

Oh and the ball of greystuff on the wire will be th basis for his head, greenstuff will finish it off.
The wings are in the pics too.

**going to need to bulk up his vest a bit I think.

gotta sort through my bit box for two pistols as these will be supplementing my seraphim.

You can see my greenstuff in my last pic, I had meant to do the fur in that medium, but couldn't find it til I was almost done. I may end up carving away some of the grey stuff and redoing it.

I love it! Very unique, and I really enjoy the color scheme - nice use of the Ruby Slippers!

Also, great job on the Flying Monkey - the idea of those little buggers flying around and screeching at heretics is both amusing and fitting.

Perhaps they could also count as familiars for an Inquisitor?

Ouze on GW: "I'd like to be like, hey baby, you're a freak but you just got too much crazy going on, and I don't hook up with bunny boilers. But then Necrons are going to come out, and I'm going to be like damn girl, and then next thing you know, it's angry sex time again.

It's complicated."

I may very well model one especially for my Wicked witch of the west's retinue, it will have to be markedly different from the seraphim monkeys though.

Stayed up and painted a battle sister, figured out a formula for the rest of the robes.

Color is a little off in the photos, the armor is definitely going to be a little bit more more bone/cream colored so looks like I have a bit more painting left to do, and the blue is a little more subtle. Also noticed I have some static grass to clean off her sleeve and a pebble on the robes.

Again, ruby red celestian shoes, only those who obtain the rank of celestian can carry special weapons in my order, some of them are assigned to regular sisters squads.

NEED HELP!

wet blended the wings up to a light Grey, however the same technique is not working for the fur.

I've done the base of the fur in fenris grey, and have a black wash over it for depth. I've tried dry brushing with 50/50 fenris and astronomicon but it seems too dark, and astronomicon alone is way too bright,

any suggestions? I have all the citadel paints cause I bought one of the mega sets.

these ones show the color pretty well.

this one shows his face.

Over all very nice. I am not a fan of the Red shoes, but that is just me.

Seconded. Flying monkeys are cool, though.
