The USA

to be exact, uncharted seas iron dwarves.

the plan is to prime white, then do a wash of brown ink (or maybe with the GW sepia) over the white on the wood plank areas... but would that work out well? or would i need to put a layer of brown paint on first?

the armor plates will be codex gray with a GW mud wash over em.

The white-and-wash method will give you a fairly pale effect... fine if you're after more of a boney-coloured wood, but if you want something darker, I'd go with painting a light brown layer first.
