Today I played a game of 40k with my friends, and I was astonished of how bad my dice rolls were. It seemed like every hit wound and armour save was failing me! Share with Dakka your worst game, because, I really need the sympathy

I played a game last weekend where my opponent had the worst luck. My Chaos vs his Black Templar. First turn, I Lash a unit that had advanced too far and he biffs his "Anti-Witch" aura save. I get maximum lash movement and manage to pull one of his squads right in a killzone from two of my units. A couple of flamer templates and a crapton of rapid fire and his unit is down to 60% strength off the bat. It's basically just charge and mop up in that area of the table for my forces.
Near the other side of the table, he trying to bring to bear one of his units and commander. Moves Emperors Champion around of a side of a hill and takes some ineffective pot shots. Tried to move a unit up the hill to provide fire support, rolls for difficult terrain to climb the hill, all 1's. Now his Champion is sitting in the wind.
Champion survives a turn, manages to get into range to duel my Sorc - he manages all one's and two's on the attack, I introduce him to a force weapon.
He's can't make a reserves roll to bring in desperately needed units...well...anywhere for 3 turns. His last squad tries to fall back. Lashed again for a ridiculous amount, right into another killzone between 3 squads. Think the grand total of casualties he inflicted was 3 Chaos Marines. Poor guy couldn't roll for beans that day.

I'm not like them, but I can pretend.
Observations on complex unit wound allocation: If you're feeling screwed, your opponent is probably doing it right. |

My last match my opponent had terrible luck. Eldar vs. Valk IG
First Valk comes in from reserves(DoW), I missile launcher it pen and explode. He rolls explosion dmg and 8 die, he fails morlae and the run off the table.
Valks and Medusas pound the daylights out of a wave serpent full of fire dragons. After practically 3 rounds of bombardment the dragons still have 4/10 (serpent destroyed) I fire into a guard squad of ten, kill 4 and he fails morale... off the board they go.
One wraithlord takes about 3 rounds of firing to go down from about 4 meltas using bring it down, 3 flaktanks (no other sutible target), and Manticore shots.
I killed a tank with a single fusion pistol shot (that backfired and killed 4/10 harlies lol)
He failed 2 of his orders on a ldr 10 units, one with a double 6.
In total failed 4/6 ldr tests
It got to the point where I didn't declare some pinning shots and cover saves because I could see his frustration.

Same as the guy before me, my opponent killed 2 marines and a rhino, i killed off all his eldar at turn 4
I had really bad luck against same guy in fantasy, i got 6 and two 2`s to save my glade riders. If it wasnt for tree singing i would have been slaughtered. My tree kin failed first 4 4+ and then 4 5+

My death will be avenged millions of rapid fire las bolts, followed by a plethora of heavy weapons artillery and other colorful assortments of death that will send chaos crying back to the warp where they will remain until they come up with another one of their "original" plans

I played an ~1800p. SM v. Orks a few weeks back, where on one shooting phase I rolled 13 out of 13 ones and twos in one roll, in the first turn. Lets just say that my luck didn't turn AT ALL that game. Still, I managed to get the SM player to concede the game after 3 or four turns. (My friend is a bit of a defeatist, so I doubt I'd have won if we played it out to its natural conclusion. I like to say that I've yet to win a single wh40k game, because my opponents always give up before the game ends...)

I think I said this somewhere else, but in a 1500 point game, I watched my girlfriend take out all 3 of this guys LR's on turn 1, with her excorcists, they ALL rolled 5's for how many shots.
Needless to say, he quit on turn 1.
He walked out of the store, and had only entered about 10-15 mins ago. She actually laughed at him, as did I.
Oh, we are bastards.

Poor guy...
And yes.. i'm most likely the most unluckest person alive. I know some people however who ARE.
Mate of mine had 30 ork boys on a objective, with a hammerhead and 3 crisis suits i managed to drop them down to a single ork, which passed it's leadership test. The game ended then with the lucky git winning the game. Oh well.. next time once i get my XV9 suits rolling i should have fun with his orks ;p

Dont know about unluckiest game, but my worst ever phase was in my last game. Assault phase. 8 warriors armed with 2x scything talons on the charge put out a total of 40 attacks. After rolling to hit and wound against conscripts I put out a whopping 3 wounds. 1 is saved, conscripts inflict 2 wounds back...tied combat.

I rolled two pairs of snake eyes in a row for Space Marine armor saves about a year ago. I don't even know the probability for that, but I can only imagine it's very, very unlikely.

Considering the number of dice that we roll... unlikely, but not super-off-the-charts improbable.

I have read many of post by you, are you guys hated at your store or something , Seems like you all beat and laugh at everyone that goes into it lol.
As for unlucky? I had 10 knorne berzerkers go against a 4 man devastator squad and loose. Also in the same game I had terminators that couldn't make their 2+ saves.
