Hi folks

Just started trying out my new airbrush (It's a dual action model), and was wondering what is the best thing to use to thin out acrylic paints (As thats what I'll be using mostly)

So any feedback would be great!

Cheers

My other half just uses water to thin down acrylic paints, seems to work fine and hasn't clogged up the airbrush. The only issue is that when you thin acrylics to airbrush consistency they tend to lose most of their pigment (they pretty much become weak inks) so can require several coats. That said, they've worked fine on fabric, card, wood and plastics so far, so I don't see why it wouldn't work on minis.

I use Vallejo Model Colour for airbrushing, and thin the paints with their own thinner, which has given me good results so far. The pigment strength has remained pretty good, though they can still dry a bit too fast sometimes.

The supply does not get to make the demands.

I use Tamiya X-20A thinner or car windscreen washer (doesn't matter if it's blue either)

Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!
