I participated in an RTT last Saturday.
For this, I took my Red Ravens army using SW rules:

Red Raven Priest Terminator w/ combi-plasma gun – 125
7 Red Raven Terminators w/ combi-plasma gun x7, raven blade x4 – 305
1 Dreadnought w/ assault cannon, heavy flamer – 115
1 Dreadnought w/ assault cannon, heavy flamer – 115
10 Red Raven Hunters w/ plasma gun x2, mark of the raven, Rhino – 210
10 Red Raven Hunters w/ melta gun x2, mark of the raven, Rhino – 205
10 Red Raven Hunters w/ flamer x2, mark of the raven, Rhino – 200
2 Tornado Land Speeders w/ multi-melta, heavy flamer – 140
Land Raider Crusader w/ multi-melta – 260
Predator w/ auto cannon, heavy bolters – 85
Total: 1750 pts.

Legend: mark of the raven = mark of the wulfen, raven blade = frost blade, Priest = Wolf Priest, Terminator = Wolf Guard Terminator.

I ended up 2nd, with 2-1-0.

The army is quite good but it has some weaknesses.
In the final game vs. IG, a DOW mission, the army lacked long range fire support (vs. Leman Russes)
It took me two or three rounds to approach the enemy and get into rapid fire or charge range.
At close range, the army proved it superiority.

IG in DOW can make for a very difficult game. How did your Wolf Guard Termie perform?

Any pics of the tourney?

Besides long range vs. IG, what other issues did you observe?

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

Well, the glaring weakness was the missing long-range fire support.
The Termies did very well. Their plasma fire in the 2nd game took down a pack of WG Termies leaving Njal blank.

I would drop the two walkers for a landraider redeemer. It would help a lot plus i bet the walkers stick out at times.

Well, this could make the army faster.
Then I'd be inclined to replace one GH squad by a BC pack mounting it into the Redeemer.

Well rhinos work good but they get shot up. another thing is flanking scouts can cover your advance with sniper fire because of the pinning rule.

strike quick and fast destroy your enemie before they know they are even fighting

Meltabomb scouts should give players something to worry about, akin to fears for long-range fire support?
