The first skit was some good ideas that ran way too long. I don't even know what was meant to be funny in the second skit, maybe I've missed some cultural reference but I couldn't even see where the jokes were.
SNL really is pretty crap. It got cred for a little while with Tina Fey's impression of Palin, but all she really did was rely on Palin being one of the more ludicrous political figures in recent memory.
Meanwhile, the numpty who hosts the website that showing the Obama skit showed why there aren't any funny conservative comedians. He assumes that its all about humour serving politics, but it's only funny when comedy comes first, and jokes about politics come naturally out of the humour.
