When you guys started up these 'leveling up' games, like Necromunda and Mordheim, did you guys convert/buy models in anticipation of future advancements/skills you'd pick up?

It seems like a good idea, but how realistic would that be?
How often did you get a specific skill that allowed you to re-use a skill?

During campaigns did you have to 'count as' much if the appropriate model was not in your possession or finished building?

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

I usually build my models with the equipment I hope they will get eventually... saves having to build boring poorly equipted dudes, and is more fun to paint/build!

Agree with TheGrin. Build in anticipation of what you imagine your guy using, and don't worry if things change too much down the line unless you are really OCD about it.

We normally only go for weapon changes. If the character has a piece of kit that needs representing we sometimes add it, things like a head change for respirator are relatively simple.
