The Death Commandos are the shock troops of the Xavien armed forces their primary tactic is to shower the enemy with devastating fire power. They do not move back instead they move forward. The Reckless feral Guardsmen even at times charging the enemy with little more but a sharpened piece of glass or rock.

Xavia is a iceworld, home of a hardy and somewhat savage humans. Although for the past 2000 years have had normal exposure to the tech of the Imperium it is still frightening to new recurits. But soon overcame if they survive their first battle. Back in early m39 a large Khornate coven took root in Xavias populance all started by a small warband of World Eaters.

In the thick snow a Daemonic artifact was buried a frozen energy of raw chaos energy. The Beszerker lord Ragnarock took it turning into a great daemon prince of Khorne. Xavien Iron was no match for chainaxe and powerarmor. The Inquistion sent a black ship to attack the insurection.

A unknown Inquistor with a large force of Grey Knights made planet fall. Ragnarock was slain and soon the Inquistion turned its attention to the Xaviens. Upon realizeing not all of them were tainted by the Daemons infulence after a purge in which the "normal" Xaviens assisted in hunting down the die hard heretics. Xavia joined the Imperium!

To this day Xaviens can be found in the private armies of the Inquistion.
The most well known regiment is the 13th for taking out a Alpha Legion hideout very close to Cadia.

Well they have bright blue armor plates and winter camo fatigues. They have Cadian style equipment but they are still "scruffy" some of them have swapped heads from Wolf Scouts, Maruders etc.
Ill have some pics on my P@M blog after winter break, since they will be done by then.

Sounds like an interesting concept fluff wise and be a different looking army other than the standard cadian that you see everywhere now days.

Should this not be in Dakka Fiction as opposed to Background?
