I need some more psyker models but just do not like the current metals (carrying that stupid staff) or the cost.
Does anyone know of a cheaper source for pskyer proxys or have any ideas about conversion ideas?

Thanks

It's not unheard of to make them from Empire Flagellants:

Thanks!

I hadnt even thought of using these guys. I would be using them for a psyker battle squad so the more careworm and 'nuts' looking the better.

Made these guys from high elf archer torsos, high elf spearman arms and cadian sgt. heads. The staff top was green stuffed. Bought all the elf parts on bay for $14. In the end its 100% gw. The overseer is an old missionary model I had laying around.

I've found the Empire Flagellants (?spelling) offer a really dark , gothic approach to 40k psykers. The High Elf conversions above are excellent and look more refined. It depends on how you want them to look really. Both are far cheaper though!

I would also think the empire wizard plastic set would have some good bits for a conversion.

This was quite a good thread about alternate models.
I'm still very much into the idea of a menagerie of psychic animals with psycollars and a handler.

Try typing 'psyker battle' into the search for more threads, ideas and some nice flagellant conversions.
