Hi, i was just wondering where (if they even sell it) you might be able to find plasticard type stuff that has grooves/patterns on it? (for ork conversion work)

The kind of stuff i mean is found in Gitsmack's awesome battlewagon conversion (its the brown colored stuff with like the anti-slip pattern)

http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/47353-More%20Wagon%20II%20WIP.html

I live in the UK, and went to the local modelzone shop, but they didnt have any.

Any online retailers?

Cheers

Railway model shop.
They always have stuff like that on sale, or failing that search on google for plastruct.

For all your styrene needs go to http://www.ema-models.co.uk

More specifically for the tread plate you're looking for go http://www.ema-models.co.uk/catalogue/0057-sheets-patterned.html and scroll down, you can get patterned sheets for almost anything, bricks, tiles, tread plate, corrugated etc etc.
Most of the stuff they sell is plastruct and evergreen product.

I've also heard good things from http://www.modelshop.co.uk/search?q=tread Although i've never personally ordered from them.

I buy plasticard from Antics Online.

Their website is rather clunky but they have big network of shops so they can nearly always despatch an item from one or another of them.

The EMA site looks like it has a very complete range but no pictures. The Antics site has pictures of the items.

Thanks guys for these great sites!
Once i found out the name of the product and a company which produced it, it made it a lot easier to find!
In the end i went for slaters embossed plasticard - tread.
And trusty old ebay came with the cheapest price (by a large margin when factoring in shipping too)

For anyone thats interested, the shop has a physical presence in Preston alongside ebay

(ps. Tek, im not sure if i missed something about www.barrule, but when i added the £1.80 sheet of plasticard to my cart and tried to checkout, the cheapest shipping option available to me was £36 !!??)

(edit for spelling)

Railways shops and Ian Allen Bookshops oddly enough. They seems to stock railway things including model buildings and Wills Kits do textured platic sheet with wood and stonework effects or metal sheet and corrugated metal.
