They would do very well for Tau or Eldar, less so for Imperial or Orks.

Unfortunately the shipping cost to the UK is prohibitive. As soon as I saw the items I wanted to get some for the Tau terrain I am building. But the cost of shipping a single pack of 10 barrels is quoted as over $12!!

They are nice barrels and crates! Shame I live in the UK too!

As an aside its true that American postage rates seem to be highly excessive. It seems that the USPS charges far more to send stuff to the UK than the Royal Mail charges to send stuff to the USA. When I've sold stuff on eBay to US customers the costs of posting small packages hasn't been bad at all, but the cost of getting anything sent back across the pond to the Old Country seems truly unpleasant! The worst example I ever came across was for 2 small plastic "Tolkien Elvish script" dice. The vendor wanted to charge $35 for shipping because his policy was to use UPS airmail only! I told him where to shove it!

Cheers

I would have ordered three sets of barrels, three sets of large crates and two sets of small crates. The shipping cost was quoted as over $41.

I wonder how much it would be for secondary shipping, say if I grabbed a few sets and sent them off to the UK folks.

You know that these are just casts from Hirst Arts molds, right?

At that price you can order the actual mold from hirst arts and make as many as you want for pennies worth of casting stone.

I'm glad someone else pointed the Hirsts Arts fact as well.

I'd cancel your order, there are official UK based dealers for Hirst Arts moulds and Mr Hirst give no end of helpful advice on his website.

There are also quite allot of people selling HA produce and indeed kits so if you don't want to go down the self cast route you could probably find someone in the UK selling the same components, heck for that (P&P) price I might even consider offering to do it myself!

I wish the crates looked more like a Companion Cube.

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack
