I rather enjoyed this clip, and it addressed some issues I have with basic preconceptions people use in many arguments.

How do you know what is and isn't appropriate? What motivates you to work well with others, if you do so.

One of the main 'naturally moralistic' habits I see in people, is a common way of fighting; even though this doesn't really hold true. A good number of fights I have seen, stay reasonably safe, even though I don't understand the point of fisticuffs if there isn't a real problem.

Ron Burgundy?

Life does not cease to be funny when people die any more than it ceases to be serious when people laugh.

In the animal kingdom, expediency usually rules over morality, except for the stated instances, when strict competition would be harmful to the species. This is just another case of someone trying to project Human values onto animals.

Since humans are animals and are subjected to many of the same evolutionary pressures, it is not farfetched to see examples of unselfish behaviour in animals as the primitive basis of moral behaviour in humans.

York/London(for weekends) oh for the glory of the british rail industry

humans naturally form packs and our behavior isn't that different from chimpanzes or bonobos, part of our behavoir is genetic (as seen by ose with certain genetic defects acting differently to the norm) but most of it is caused by the enviroment we are raised in, there have been several cases were a child was raised by pack animals like wolves (the most recent one was a french girl who was a fully intergrated member of a wolf pack) i would say that its 40:60 genetics and enviroment

Expediency and morality can be the same thing. It wouldn't be particularly beneficial to go around killing every person you saw, for example. Both in terms of continuing the species, and in terms of your own ability to survive. Socialization, and the happiness that it brings, is not something which is optional.

Where would this fit into all this. http://video.yahoo.com/network/100000086?v=6417321&l=100000085

Why would an animal take care of babies that arent even part of its own species? I believe that is part of natual morality.

Those piglets cheated!

There are also examples of natural immorality such as 'adultery', stealing and trickery.

Cuckoos trick other birds into rearing their eggs.
