Wow sorry MAJOR brain fart as soon as i saw the link say xbox i realized what you were talking about my bad. Yes the game does look good in the previews but something you gotta remember the previews dont give a feel for how the game operates as in controls for stuff. I worry that the smoothness of controls and glitches might be a problem. That is just my general concern for all video games that i want to play though.

oh they definitely have corrupted guardsmen, chaos marines, orks, and supposedly there was a leak of tyranids coming into play it hasnt been confirmed yet
from what I've heard they still don't display the bolter's true strength(just like in Fire Warrior) I"l still play it any way thought, I play SM so it looks cool too me!
Current Armies:
Invaders (Salamanders Sub-Chapter) A few vairous scratch built models
Just getting started A few models with more to come
Man, I live under a rock. I had no idea about this... O.O
I'm definitely going to have to get it, even though it's got the Blueberries as main characters...
Angels of Nezeria (Dark Angels successor chapter)
Tau Marines: Defectors to the Tau Empire (let the nerdrage begin!)
Fledgling Cadian Imp Guard: because I want to paint tanks
Member of the Cadian 642nd -- even in death we serve the Emperor!
DR:70--S+GM+++B+I+Pw40k09#+D+++A++/wWD-R++T(F)DM+ (except i really suck and my last game was during 6th ed)
KamikazeCanuck: It's more like a big, giant red button in a glass case with a little hammer that says "Break in case of Galaxy on fire"
When I saw the leaked Alpha footage all I could think was GEARS OF WAR...
It doesn't look too faithful to 40k, for one you won't play with the squad, only as its members... it seems you are a one-man band capable of felling multiple traitor marines..
The jip that got me most was that the marine in the trailer (who was armed with a bolter in one hand and a chainsword in the other) had a pretty harmless popgun in his hand, it fired at a the rate of fire of an UZI but did next to no damage, it seemed to be based on the Orky philosophy of making as much noise as possible to no real effect. The Close Combat looked cool, but...
THE GAME HAS QUICK-TIME EVENTS!
I don't own any consoles so I prolly wouldn't be able to get this anyway, but I won't be whining about it... (I HATED Gears of War )

Freakin' 4 man Tactical Squads my arse.
4 man tactical squads in which one guy has a jump pack+Thunderhammer and another a heavy bolter?

I'd love to just try it out/rent/friends game...I don't think I'd own it.
DoW2 has enough Awesome already...now if the MMO came out............
This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

That wasn't even the same developer, if I recall. That game was a different studio pitching their idea and showing what they had. It got turned down in favor of Relic developing it, and the game you've seen in the more recent trailers. I for one have the utmost confidence in Relic to make a kickass game here, as I love the Dawn of War series and I enjoyed The Outfit (another 3rd person shooter for the 360) when it came out. I heard May 2010 for Space Marine to come out, and I'm looking forward to it immensely.
Yeah, Relic's been pretty good in regards to making a most fluffly 40k video gaming experience imo.
However apparently you dont play as the Ultramarines, and they were only shown as such as an example. Which leads me to believe it's some other Codex Astartes Chapter that isnt the Blood Ravens. Why? Because Blood Raven's are Relic's baby, and if they were gonna use them, why not use them in the trailer to begin with?
It's still deep in development. I think there will be more animations and stuff when it hits. Bummer that its just 4 guys. I;m just going to tell myself its a combat squad. But supposedly, you can pick wargear pretty extensively, so if you want, you can avoid the jump-pack+TH if you want.
I just hope it's not another Firewarrior. But at least we have Dawn of War.
