This has been bugging me for a while:
If I fire at a leman russ squadron and cause say two weapon destroyed results can I take off a battle cannon from two seprate leman russ' or do you have to say which tank in the squadron your firing at before rolling dice. I've been very confused for ages.

So the question is:
Do you nominate the target vehicles in vehcile squadron before rolling?
If that was the question, I'd say no. Sure the melta-team would be bright enough to shoot at the ones still in full condition!
I have no rules to back me up though.

I'm pretty sure (someone will probably correct me if I'm wrong) that it works like this:
1st result - owner of leman russ picks the tank and you choose the weapon destroyed
2nd result - owner of LR picks different tank in same squadron and you choose the weapon

You distribute Penetrating and Glancing hits in exactly the same way as for normal units - so BEFORE rolling ont he table you determine where the hits go
So LR1 may take 1 penetrating hit, and you roll weapon destroyed. THis has to affect LR1
LR2 also takes a penetrating hit, and this is entirely independent of LR1 - you cannot decide to then place it on LR1.

That's how it works.

Hmm, so it seems I have been bested.
So be it

The next question is mine! What happens if you get 2 penetrating hits, 1 is a immobilize and the other is a wreck result? If a vehicle in a squadron is immobilized, then it becomes a wreck as the crew abandon it, so is the result 2 wrecked vehicles? or can you apply the wrecked before the immobilize, leaving the last vehicle in the squadron simply immobilized (squadrons reduced to 1 model then apply damage charts normally)?

You allocate hits BEFORE you rolls on the damage chart. If you had a squadron of three vehicles and suffered two penetrating hits then two of the vehicles would have to be allocated a penetrating hit each. Then once you have done that you roll for the damage on each vehicle individually. If theis results in an immobilised and a wrecked result then both of the vehicles would become wrecks.

I mean, what's the point in winning if you allow people that don't take the game seriously to live? |

But what if you allocate hits from 1 opposing unit properly, to a squadron of 2 vehicles; 1 vehicle ends up wrecked, the other is immoblized. If I would apply the wrecked result first, the other tank would get to live on the battlefield as it is no longer part of a squadron?
I suppose, as those results occur at the same time, the immobilised one would turn into a wreck because of the squadron rules.

This is correct.
Yup.. it states "If a squadron consists of a single vehicle when an enemy unit fires at it, ...." The squadron has to be one model when the shooting starts not to be destroyed on an immobilized result.
