Ferocious Blood Claw

Hi all,
This is my second post following my Arjac Rockfist model- my Njal Stormcaller attempt. I found the runes on the staff very hard to do and they still look a bit out of shape as a result.
Anyone had any experience with the staff or something similar and have tips?
I managed to touch up my Arjac model following advice on the forum so tips are very much appreciated!

Nice paintjob. The fig reminds me of Rupert from Survivor.

Cracking job When doing runes like that I paint them white and then give it a few washes with baal red, and then tidy the edges with a fine brush and a steady hand. Your look great, so don't worry about it too much

After several attempts I managed to remove the 'Sloth from the Goonies' look took a while..
Thanks for comments
Captain Jack - Thanks for the tip, I think I'll try that on my next Rune covered Space wolf! I think that technique would've saved me much effort and 'blobbing' on the staff
Cheers
