I was looking through the ratskin renegade gang and I came across something I couldn't find in my other Necro resources.

What is Blade Venom?
Or where can I find that information? (If it still exists.../sigh)

Thx.

Edit: which is the most up-to-date ratskins, I'm assuming the one with the Shaman actually in it...?

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

The Blade venom description should be in the "New Equipment" section of the Outlaw Trading Post rules that are at the end of the Ratskin Renegade gang. I'm pretty sure that is the most up to date version. I think the article mentioned that "Shaman rules are coming next with a new Wyrd update.", but it never happened.
On a side note, check out the Anthony Case Ratskin gang. http://www.anthony-case.me.uk/necromunda.php
I've been wanting to give them a try.

Oh thanks.

I have both, I didn't even think to check (what I thought was an older gang.).

Sorry for another newb question:

Anthony Case is as official as it comes but is still...unofficial>? Sort of?

I have been contemplating on going with his version of the Ratskins... the weapon options seem fun enough.

The A.Case Ratskins are totally unofficial in every way. There is a lot of other cool stuff on his site. Again, all totally unofficial.

So... either the unofficial but completed Ratskins.
Or...the official but uncompleted Ratskins. Awesome.

In the A.Case Ratskins, I was think of going with this:

Chief: Shotgun, Manstoppers.
Ratskin w/ mustket.
Ratskin w/ mustket.
Ratskin w/ mustket.
Ratskin w/ mustket.
Ratskin w/ mustket.
Ratskin w/ mustket.
Brave w/ Scattergun.
Brave w/ Scattergun.
Brave w/ Scattergun.
Brave w/ Scattergun.
Brave just 1 knife.
Brave just 1 knife.

Ratskins chill out with 30" range. Braves with scatterguns enjoy +2 to hit at 12".
Braves w/ knives and Leader are sort of the counter attackers.

After that it's only 805 creds.
Rating 985 + 7D6.

The one thing I can purchase (but am meh about) is the Shaman...I was thining of investing in him when I get an Archeotech horde...then just start with 2 powers instead of just one at the crazy high cost/rating.

Wierdly, what draws me to Ratskins is:
Lack of Heavy weapons and lack of tech skills, these two things are things I really don't want to deal with. I know both are very strong choices, but I don't want to increase the rate at which my beard grows

Looks like fun. What will you be using as muskets? I like the juves with only knives. Very cool. My gang is a Squat themed Orlock gang. My juves are old Dwarf Slayers. So I start mine with an axe and if they survive the first game, then and only then, have earned the right to carry a gun.
I'd take a Shaman anyway. The odds of actualy getting an archeotech hoard is next to nil. So I wouldn't plan on ever getting one. You'd have to take it from an enemy gang. A Shaman is too fluffy to pass up in my opinion. And if you are lucky you could get a spirit power that acts like you own an extra archeotech hoard.

I'm doing a Kroot conversion.
So with 'count as' I can do either Delaque or Ratskins with them.

Muskets/Autogun (lasguns as a stretch) are the Kroot Guns.

The Scatterguns/Shotguns will be converted Kroot rifles.
I basically cut off the muzzle of the gun and use 2 Necron Green Rods as the barrels of the double barrelled shotgun.

Pistol, are further cut down kroot guns.

As to the Shaman, I was more interested with the whole I hit you in close combat 12" away, that looks very fun.
But he's real pricey for about a 50/50 to get anything I like on the powers table...
