This came up a while back, and it still bothered me. I was playing Bretonnians at the time, and charged a Great Unlean One with King Louen, unit of Pegasus Knights one flank, unit of Knights errant on another flank, and another unit of knights in its rear. Bottomline was that I was having trouble causing wounds with Trappings of Nurgle, and the fact that it was able to cast miasma of pestilence was also troubling. So I had to beat the thing by CR alone, and by doing so I was causing the Daemon to do his leadership test, and take a few wounds a turn from Daemonic Instability. This meant that his Pestilent Mucus ability was causing a huge number of toughness tests, with no armor saves, on all my models in base contact with the Greater Daemon. Which was alot of wounds as majority of Brets are T 3.
I guess my question is can Daemonic Instability wounds suffered inflict Pestilent Mucus T tests? I can understand regular wounds from combat causing these wounds, but a Great Unclean one with with ten wounds, and having a cheap 25pt ability is a bit crazy when it can be used for Daemonic Instability as well. Has GW made a ruling of interpretation on this?
