Aye I know, the thread probably gets done ever year, but going back to Dec 08 and digging out the last one would be Theadomancy of the worst and foulest kind. So I thought I'd start a new one.
Been slowly going mad the past three weeks as some bright spark in head office decided early to mid November was a great time to start the Christmas track across the radio, however we've still had normal songs being the majority.
More and more have been played as the last ten days have gone on, and from Wens I expect to hear nothing but Christmas songs. So its either go mad and murdalize the rest of the staff, or get into the swing of it and name my faves, hence this thread.
So aye which are your faves, mine are probably as follows.
I believe in Father Christmas - Greg Lake
Fairytale of New York - the Pogues with Kirsty MacColl
Jingle Bell Rock - Bobby helms
Little Saint Nick - The Beach Boys
Happy Xmas (War is Over) - John Lennon
Pipes of Peace - Paul McCartney
"That's not an Ork, its a girl.." - Last words of High General Daran Ul'tharem, battle of Ursha VII.
Two White Horses (Ipswich Town and Denver Broncos Supporter)
Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer of course.
Ave Maria, not Christmasy per se.
Drummer Boy -the Crosby/Bowie impromptu gig.
Dreaming of a White Christmas.
Pachuko Clause
-"Wait a minute.....who is that Frazz is talking to in the gallery? Hmmm something is going on here.....Oh.... it seems there is some dispute over video taping of some sort......Frazz is really upset now..........wait a minute......whats he go there.......is it? Can it be?....Frazz has just unleashed his hidden weiner dog from his mini bag, while quoting shakespeares "Let slip the dogs the war!!" GG
-"Don't mind Frazzled. He's just Dakka's crazy old dude locked in the attic. He's harmless. Mostly."
-TBone the Magnificent 1999-2014, Long Live the King!
Christmas in Sarajevo by Transiberian Orchestra
Oh Holy Night (Including the Cartman version from South Park)
Choir of the Bells
Little Drummer Boy (the older, (1950s version) acusticle version they play on the radio).

This is one of the best things about Xmas for me; watching the christmas episode of Invader Zim. Legendary song.
Armies:
(CSM/HH) - Iron Warriors; Death Guard; World Eaters; Night Lords
IG - Vestfalian Expeditionary
Force (Solar Auxilia - HH)
SM - Blades of Inaros (Homebrew)
DE - Kabal of Ouroboros
Carol of the Bells
God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen
We Three Kings
Stille Nacht
Angels We Have Heard on High
Hark! The Herald Angels Sing
Up on the Housetop
I pretty much just love the classics. Performed by a choir and orchestra, these songs are very moving.
DR:80+S(GT)G++M++B-I++Pwmhd05#+D+++A+++/sWD-R++T(Ot)DM+ How is it they live in such harmony - the billions of stars - when most men can barely go a minute without declaring war in their minds about someone they know.
- St. Thomas Aquinas
Warhammer 40K:
Alpha Legion - 15,000 pts For the Emperor!
WAAAGH! Skullhooka - 14,000 pts
Biel Tan Strikeforce - 11,000 pts
"The Eldar get no attention because the average male does not like confetti blasters, shimmer shields or sparkle lasers."
-Illeix
I love the entire 'Phil Spector Christmas Album' thingy. 'Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) by Darlene Love is a particular favourite from that collection.
Also @MDS - Awesome shout for 'Happy Xmas...', I adore that song.

I am both selfish and chaotic. I value self-gratification and control; I want to have things my way, preferably now. At best, I'm entertaining and surprising; at worst, I'm hedonistic and violent.
And so, due to rising costs of maintaining the Golden Throne, the Emperor's finest accountants spoke to the Demigurg. A deal was forged in blood and extensive paperwork for a sub-prime mortgage with a 5/1 ARM on the Imperial Palace. And lo, in the following years the housing market did tumble and the rate skyrocketed leaving the Emperor's coffers bare. A dark time has begun for the Imperium, the tithes can not keep up with the balloon payments and the Imperial Palace and its contents, including the Golden Throne, have fallen into foreclosure. With an impending auction on the horizon mankind holds its breath as it waits to see who will gain possession of the corpse-god and thus, the fate of humanity......

--The whole concept of government granted and government regulated 'permits' and the accompanying government mandate for government approved firearms 'training' prior to being blessed by government with the privilege to carry arms in a government approved and regulated manner, flies directly in the face of the fundamental right to keep and bear arms.
“The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government.”
