Subject: New campaign for AT-43?

AT-43 has two Campaigns so far, Damocles and Frostbite. As story is so important to this game, the Campaign system is appropriate and also kind of unique by my experience. Whereas other games tend to be extremely static in their fluff, AT-43 had a sense of evolution to it which I liked.
What I am wondering is: was the Campaign system a brainchild of Jean Bey's, and thus as he is no longer effectively running the company is this no longer going to be how Rackham Entertainment does things, or is another Campaign coming?
The way I figure, Paolo said he's just working on the Krygs now. That will take some time, so there should be some space for something else in the meantime. Cogs and Oni need their unit choices filled up with the appropriate models, but we all know that will take a few years as well. Oh well, spaces out the purchases.
But is there room for a new Campaign?
Perhaps if they did one without it coming with tiles, terrain, and figures?
It would go a long way to energize the community and also reinforce that the game isn't going anywhere for a while...

I say yes to new campiagns, but a firm no to vartiant colour schemes. It looks like Rackham is learning that lesson as it increases costs for no benefit.
So you could get a desert campaign to go with the new desert playmats we are seeing filter in, but all using the same stock colour miniatures.
This is quite defensible from a background point, space based forces might change theatre so quickly they rarely get a chance to acclimitise and change camo patterns.

The campaigns are ok I guess...I more go for the scenarios out of the rulebook though as we are a rather scattered group up here and it is tough to get together for regularly scheduled events like a campaign. It would end up dragging forever
Agree with the alt color schemes...it kinda ticked me off, especially the Dotch Yaga....
Molots were easy to repaint as dull red/brown goes easy over grey and white but freakin green???
Yeah it slightly ticked me off...at least I have the one from the army box now...no markings but its the right colour.

I like the Campaigns for the story, mostly. So far the tale of Babylon Zero has been the cohesive "plotline" which runs through the game, but things CHANGED. They evolved. Compare this to the static 40K universe and the AT-43 fluff is positively exciting!
They could make a new campaign for the story, and then put expanded terrain rules in there. Maybe new pick-up play rules. Set the campaign on a planet with a proper Earth-like environment so that you can have forests, and deserts, and mountains, and snow...all the sorts of tables we could play on. Acknowledge the existence of other 28mm games' terrain setups and use them. Incorporate them. Have some official support for what I'd guess a majority of the players are doing anyway.
New models probably aren't realistic...or new tiles...or new terrain, all the crap that came with Frostbite or was released around that time for the existing armies...but even though it came from Cry! Rackham and wasn't really put together as a campaign for publishing in a book the way it wound up, the Operation Damocles campaign shows that you can have a campaign without any of that. Just some cards, at the most.
I really think we need a new campaign. Something in addition to new armies. For a properly cool campaign, and some energizing of the fluff, I would be willing to be patient for the new Cog and Oni units to fill out their lists...

Red Blok red is Terracotta from Vallejo or Citadel range.
Buy a page of Soviet aircraft decals to get iconography for the Dotch Yaga.

Thanks, O. I'll pick up a pot of terracotta. I'm gonna have three platoons of Krasnye Soldaty (got loose bitz from Miniature Market) to paint up.
What color for the leather work on them, do you think? Not gonna be able to stick with that sickly greenish color they come with right out of the army box...

I dont know. I never got around to identifying it.
What I do know is that many paints companies use the same pigments so many paints are identicle.
The Red Blok red is Terracotta, but the brown is not a specific Citadel colour. I would look at the Vallejo model colour as opposed to game colour range. The range they do for historical, I am trying to find a UNA blue/grey from the range.
If you manage to identify a match for the brown, or for that matter for the UNA colour scheme let me know, and vice versa.
