I just discovered a relatively new line of model cars that essentially come "pre-looted," or at least all Mad-Maxed up with guns, armor plates, etc. At about five inches long, it seems they'd be the perfect size for easy Trukk or Looted Wagon conversions. The only downside is that they're diecast metal, so they're heavy and difficult to modify too much, but look at them, they pretty much just need a little plasticard, some Boyz riding in the back, and a fresh coat of paint and you've got yourself a cheap, snazzy vehicle!

I'm getting the Camaro and the Silverado to start with...

I dunno... I find it rather silly to think that there are Chevy Silverados and '69 Camaros in the 41st millennium. Having said that, most die-cast metal cars have plastic interiors and undercarriages. They are typically held on by a small screw or two. Getting these to kitbash wouldn't be a waste of time.

Pulling some of those modded parts off would make for some pretty unique Ork vehicles without being so 'real worldy'.

Maybe the semi. I agree with Ghidorah on the rest. Little wonky lol

I actually came across these at my local Target yesterday, and they're a bit small. Slightly larger than matchbox cars, but they'd still be dwarfed (in both height and length) by the current truck model, let alone any kind of looted Imperial tank.

That said, if you can bulk them out (bigger tires!) and remove some of the scale indicators (headlights, windows, etc.) they could do in a pinch for buggies.

Teek, are you sure you didn't just see the smaller, 1:64 scale versions? That seems like a more Matchbox-sized scale.

I'll admit I haven't seen these cars in person, but I still like the idea. Rather than an actual '69 Camaro, I just figure that Orks had built a vehicle that happens to look like one. Seems like the sort of thing they would do, Orks and muscle cars go hand-in-hand, thematically.

A mustang or something like that would make a funny addition to a speed freek army, as a self conscious anachronism

While I agree with Ghidorah, in theory, being a hardcore Dai-Kaiju fan of the Gojira variety, I am sworn to hate evil golden three headed dragons!

No, wait, actually, I look at the wonky Camero SS and think about what I COULD do with an appropriate sized plastic model kit converted into a bad-a$$ speed freak buggy and/or trukk. Hmm

So those specific models/toys, not so much. Ideas for other plastic kit conversions? AH YEAH!!!

Of course great care and sophistication must be used to make it look un-camero-like while still maintaining its muscle-car vibe.

That might be the case, not sure. Wasn't aware two scales existed. Hrmmm...

Yes, correct. I also saw them at Target (while hunting for some cheap wheels) and there are different scales of these, it actually lists the scales at the top of the web page as well. I actually liked the little ones 'cause it reminded me of Car Wars.

I thought the same thing (car wars that is) for the smaller ones. Whats easier then just buying them? lol
And try the dollar store for wheels Fenris, those places are gold mines

I have a few Dollar store wheels! And you are right, it is a goldmine. I am always on the look-out because I want all of my trukks to look different.

Nevermind the fact that I have more wheels than I'll ever need. It is a compulsion.
