Stalwart Ultramarine Tactical Marine

Ok, so i was quite bored in Algebra 2 one day, and the little fluff machine in mah head starting a' goin. I started thinking about making two special characters that would count as a single unit, and they would be kinda guerrila warfare associated, and they'd be like super buddies or whatever since they've been fighting together for like 100 friggin years. So here they are!
Kane and Garrick.....................................145 points
_____WS _BS _ S _T _ W _ I _ A _Ld Sv
Kane... 5 _ 4 _ 4 _ 4 _ 2 _ 5 _ 2(3) _ 9 _ 3+/4+
Garrick...5 _ 5 _ 4 _ 4 _ 2 _ 4 _ 2(3) _ 9 _ 3+/5+
Unit Composition: Kane and Garrick (duh)
Unit type: Infantry
Special Rules:
And They Shall Know No Fear, Combat tactics, Infiltrate, Independent Character(s), Blood Brothers
Wargear:
(Both)
Power Armour
Frag and Krak Grenades
Bolt Pistol
(Kane)
Axe of the First
Biting Blade
Amulet of Narxus
(Garrick)
The Hunter
Crux Terminatus
Power Sword
Melta Bomb
Blood Brothers: Kane and Garrick have fought together for over a century, working as a team, perfecting each other's techniqes and working together to form a well-oiled killing machine. When in close combat, and if both are alive, Kane and Garrick reroll all failed rolls to hit.
Axe of the first: A treasured relic held by the First company of the Ultramarines through the ages, this weapon was rumored to have been wielded by one of the first champions of the Ultramarines. It was gifted to Kane after his duel and defeat of Waaagh WazDreg at the siege of hive Phallor. This Weapon counts as a power weapon that hits at Strength 5.
Biting Blade:Kane has done many raids during his long career, and knows the importance of enemy leadership, and the havoc it can cause if it is destroyed. He always carries a micro-honed combat blade sheathed in the poison of a rare fungus native to Ultramar. Once a game, against an idependent character, kane may choose to attack using the biting blade instead of attacking normally. These attacks count as rending, and wound on a 2+. Also, if wounded, the enemy independent character must take a leadership test using their own Ld. If they fail, they suffer instant death. (note that the bolt pistol does not confer a bonus to these attacks)
Amulet of Narxus: Claimed from the fallen head of the queen of the xenos race, the narxus, and studied at great length by the librarium of the chapter, Kane wears this talisman as a testament to his hatred of all xenos. It conferrs him a 4+ invulnerable save.
The Hunter: A remarkable marksman, with over a dozen marksmen's honors, Garrick's MK III bolter has been modified to better suit his needs, and has gained access to the first company's armoury, taking kraken rounds. His silenced bolter shoots with the following profile:
______Range___Str__AP__Type
Hunter_"30"_____4___4___Rapid fire, Pinning
Crux Terminatus: Garrick has an amazing service record with access to a large portion of his company's armoury. Salvaged from a deeply damaged suit of terminator armor, this Crux was bestowed unto Garrick for his unswerving dedication to his duty. It conferrs a 5+ Invulnerable save.
A bit about these guys
Kane and Garrick have served in the Ultramarines chapter for over 5 centuries. Both spent extensive time as Scout Sergeants before donning their power armour yet again. Both moved up from the 3rd company to the veteran company around the same time, maintaining their friendship throughout. Recognised for their effective, if not somewhat unorthodox tactics from the start, Kane and Garrick have lead many raids and ambushes throughout their careers as sergeants. After several decades, they moved up ranks yet again to become sergeants of their own veteran squads. Kane and Garrick were promoted to lead a Vanguard and Sternguard squad, respectively, somewhat bridging the tension between the two groups. Kane was always an amazing brawler, using fists and blades alike to bring destruction to his enemies. He became the company champion of the 3rd for a short period of time, during which he claimed a fearsome tally, before moving on to the 1st. Garrick was a straight shot from the beggining, making many leadership kills during his time as a scout. Both are proficient in all areas of warfare, yet use their strengths to their advantage.
Id love some feed-back from you guys. Im kinda iffy on the point cost right now. Im mostly going to use these dudes for special 'behind enemy lines' and 'sabotage' missions, though. When i said they were idependent characters, i meant that they could join squads and had move through cover. They still have to be in coherency with each other.

They cost to little.
No joke.
Although, i'd say that space marines usualy get discounts on their points (i.e. free missile launchers and flamers, Termies get powerfists, the entire army is subject to a slew of rules at no apparent addition in points)

If you are so focused on them being guerrilla-eske fighters...then raise their combined point cost a bit, and allow them to confer special rules to a Scout Squad...give them a Bike option perhaps.

Ship's Officer

Reminds me of Uriel and Pasanius from the Ultramarines novels.
I like the idea, but I agree that they are a little cheap, points-wise (although granted there are only two models in the unit). I would go with the infiltrators theme and maybe make them more of a SM Marbo-esque unit. Infiltrate is nice, but Scouts would make sense as well and so would Stealth to a certain degree (not that they really need it, I suppose).
All in all I really like the idea and it would be a cool addition. I'm working on my own rules for an Army of Two team for my IG and I may have to steal some ideas!

Ok, yeah i can see where you guys are coming from with the points. 175 sound good?
And i know what you guys are saying with the scouts, but i was thinking more along the line of veterans that they might of trained.
Also, If i do take them in a normal game with a standard organization chart, i was wondering whether i should take them as an elite or an hq choice.
But for the most part im planning on using these guys for missions ill cook up later.

I'd say MAYBE more than 175pts to be honest...
I agree actually, having trained veterans does sound more suitable (although either way it's good) but they may be overpowered and that would need to further up the points... I'd say keep them in a pair or in charge of their relevant squads, however if each leading their relevant veterans then they are no longer a pair!
However, as they are I'd use them as elites, I cant imagine people wanting their leaders over the other side of the enemy etc. and therefore unable to lead properly!
Hope, that helped...

"As I recall, your face was tortured. Imagine that - the Master of the Wolves, his ferocity twisted into grief. And yet you still carried out your duty. You always did what was asked of you. So loyal. So tenacious. Truly you were the attack dog of the Emperor. You took no pleasure in what you did. I knew that then, and I know it now. But all things change, my brother. I'm not the same as I was, and you're... well, let us not mention where you are now."
