By Grabthar's hammer, by the sons of Worvan! 10 years later, they are finally making stuff based on 1999's GALAXY QUEST! Unfortunately, Star Trek has since been rebooted and is no longer "silly" in the mainstream public's eye, which kind of deflates the parody aspect that was Galaxy Quest at the time of its release. Will people quickly snatch these up? Or will they spend their money on actual Star Trek gear instead? Regardless, I think I'll rewatch Galaxy Quest this week!

I love Jim Smash, always a fun read.

Nice, quite nice. Will have to pick that ship up if I ever run into it.

Does the ship come with a beryllium sphere? If so, I may have to try and find a copy of it.

YES! ugh, i was so disapointed by that. It felt like something out of Stargate more than a snazzy starship engineering section.

Naw, Games Workshop would nev [This message is under investigation by The Workshop, the merchandise listed in this thread is considered to resemble The Product and therefore a Cease and Desist Life has been issued to the manufacturers unless they prove to be a bigger company than we are in which case we'll be back under our rock so fast there'll be sparks. The Workshop is Mother, The Workshop is Father, be a productive citizen] nd therefore would likely show a magnanimous attitude.

So was Warhammer, but see where that's got folks these days.

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

Cool stuff but ...

Of all the Sci-Fi movies and shows in the history of Film and Television they went with Galaxy Quest ?! Maybe they can do UFO next ? That show had some great vehicles !!

I suppose it all comes down to licensing ...

Where would be the fun in Galaxy Quest if Star Trek wouldn't have been there in the first place?
