It seems to be quite a new product and I've not seen any examples of it being used, can anyone post an image?

This is the product on sale http://www.waylandgames.co.uk/Army-Painter/Sprays/Desert-Yellow/prod_3320.html and the only clue I can get is from the Yellow sticker on the top.

I'm hoping to batch paint some imperial fists and painting yellow over black undercoat takes some time, but I don't want to undercoat over white, I want the black lining in the recesses and a nice dirty yellow.

I hope you can help me dakka users!!!

Thanks

It's a khaki color, not a real "yellow".

Could you post an example? I'd love to see it on a mini.

I don't actually *have* any examples to post, but I did see it used at the local shop for British tanks for Flames of War.

It looks a lot like GW's Desert Yellow color, which they use as a highlight color for the studio Cadian 8th army.

If you want a good way of doing Imperial Fists, use Iyanden Darksun as a basecoat to work from. It gives FAR better coverage than other yellows.

Use halford's yellow primer -

Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

we sell those at my shop, the "sticker" is actually a painted disc glued to the cap of each paint so it's very WYSIWYG. It's color matched for german WW2 afrika korps, and has a slightly mustard-brown tone to it

The company just came out with a new paint thats a very bright yellow as well, more of a bad moon yellow than golden yellow but it would save you buckets of time just using that as a base
