Been working on the 2250 revamp of my nurgley skaven, and tonight I finally finished the last
GS work on my abomination conversion. I'll note now that the peculiar aesthetic behind these models makes more sense in regards to the rest of the army, so I'll see what I can dredge up a shot or so ...
VERMIN LORD - VL model I built when I was 12, so dismantled, rebuilt, pinned 6 times and replaced his head with Galrauch's tentacular tail that I've been saving for this conversion for a few years now:
ABOMINATION - When Heresy had its sale this fall I jumped on the tunnel dweller I'd been eyeing for quite a while. 5 rounds of
GS later (serious gaps on this mother!), the abomination lives, headswap / weaponswap / arm amputation included:
TRETCH - Not as interesting nor as heavy, but stands in for Tretch decently enough for my needs. Ungor body (a beast base like all my characters), necron flayed one hands cause they seemed sneaky, human skull (a rarity in my army!) for the lucky skull helm, and a carnifex shard for a bit of 'heavy' armor
I also built 21 slaves (all my troops are nurglings, so these are the runtier ones), and a couple champion nurglings, but those are now primed white and less exciting.
Here's a shot or so of the army under the old book, out for a stroll:
So Blurry ......... Anyway this army tends to paint up fast (hint: pints of snot green + dip
ftw), so post-school I can probably pump it back up to strength in short order. The big bads might have to wait for warmer weather in 4 months, but we'll see.
