Hear me out. Most special characters are 3-4 thunderwolves in cost. So what about taking someone like canis and maxing out instead in thunderwolves. Is that not a safer investment?

The Canis plus thunderwolves plus ferensian wolves is a popular build. You can probably find 2-3 different lists in the army list section.

Canis Wolfborn , rune priests and wolf priests are the best HQs to take.


If you want to make a horribly effective Greyhunter Squad w/ Preferred enemy and wolf Banner is ridiculous

Its not a bad idea. Canis, 15 thunderwolves and then tons of Fenrisian wolves is not something I would like to fight.

Only problem with that list being the lack a Troops that can hold an objective.

Because 2/3 of missions are Objective missions.

It wouldn't be to hard to throw in 2x 5 man GH squads with Razorbacks in the event that you did care and wanted to give everyone a run for their money at a tourney.

True, but then I would have some 25mm bases on the board.
I just would like to see a Ninja Tau army cope with this.
