Well since strolling into Albatross's thread on Jazz, I realized a few things.
1. hes right, there is WAY to many heavy metal threads
2. I think I like Jazz now
So I also REALLY love acoustic guitarists and the like. So why not we share some of the guitarist/singers of that style. Please no metal trolls, it really classes with it all.
Ill start with a couple of my favs, and maybe a few of you will discover a new music styling to your liking.
First is Andy Mckee AND Don Ross. They are 2 of my favs, and best of all they are together doing a song by Andy Mckee.
Next is a newer find for me is Jimmy Wahlsteen
And lastly but definitely not least Andrew Winton. You Australians know how to make good musicians lol He also sings really nicely, so check out some of his other vids.
Kaki King wasnt bad, but Ive never seen guitar playing look sexier lol And I really dig Minus the bear, Ill have to check more out on them.
You seem like that guy that always has music going and almost noone knows where you get it, but they seem to like it. Am I at all close? Nice choices man

Yes sir. I went to school for a few years (3 to be exact) for Journalism in the music industry. Music is my anti-drug, or just my drug. Minus the Bear are real sweet. They don't usually do a ton of acoustic stuff, but they have some great music.

I am both selfish and chaotic. I value self-gratification and control; I want to have things my way, preferably now. At best, I'm entertaining and surprising; at worst, I'm hedonistic and violent.
KingCracker you put up 3 of my favourite vids! haha
Heres some cliche vids that will wow.
Ukulele's are awesome -
Airtap - everyone probably has seen this but it blows my mind evertime i watch/hear it.
And my favourite Winton song:

Of course, as an American, that means I must say that soccer sucks, and football (real football... you know, the one where you do everything with your hands) is 10,000 times as good. I mean, football players could probably beat up soccer players, even, because they actually know sports.

Some good gak on this thread! Good call on the Nick Drake, Youngblood.
Here's an awesome band in an acoustic style:
Just smashing. Good live too.
At the risk of looking like a shameless plugger, I'm gonna post a vid of my band John The Dancer - it's taken from a recording session for our upcoming album 'Dig For Victory', so it isn't a final mix. We're doing it independently, hence the ghetto-looking studio! The song is called 'Annihilation. I'm the one in the black hat.
You have a Rhodes so thats instant win. Does it have any bass/sub in this? I really like it but i can't comment on the bass side as i'm listening from 2" laptop speakers.
I like the beats, very nice. Id be tempted to put some glitch in, maybe some snare rushes.
Interesting vocal style,I quite like it.
What software and synths are you using?
Slappy

@Slappywag - There's no Bass in that video, as it hadn't been done yet - the bass was done last night. It was recorded using Pro-tools. As for synths...not my area, I'm afraid! I handle the songwriting and vocals - glad you liked 'em, although they have since been re-recorded.
