Hey guys, need some advice on painting Imperial Fists. Been wanting to paint a Tac squad of these guys as a side project to keep me sane from painting too many Orks/Space Wolves.
I noticed from blogs around here that when people paint Imp Fists, Ive noticed three styles of Imp Fists yellow, and Im not sure which one to go with. As far as I can ascertain, the painting process seems to be (starting from a black undercoat);

1. The pale yellow Imperial Fists
Seems to be a mixture of either Iyanden Darksun or Sunburst Yellow (which is OOP I think?), and skull white highlights

2. The vivid bright yellow Imperial Fists
Definately either an Iyanden Darksun or Tausept Ochre basecoat, Gryphonne Sepia wash, and Golden Yellow highlights

3. The dulled, mustardy yellow Imperial Fists
Tausept Ochre base, Bubonic Brown highlights, Gryphonne Sepia wash

Just wonder what Dakka Dakka's preference for their Imperial Fists to see. Im mostly leaning towards the second or third option but Im not quite sure entirely. Also, I noticed some people do red trims on their shoulderpads, others do black. What Company number do they come from?

My second question pertains to GW's Codex Grey. I just bought another pot recently, and noticed its significantly lighter than my old pot. It's almost as light as indistinguishable as Fortress Grey. anyone notice this, or did I just get a faulty pot?

I prefer the ones displayed in the previous Codex Space Marines (the one immediately prior to the current).
