Somewhere in the unknown universe.

I want to make a rough rider conversion that looks like 40k Stormtroopers riding on jetbikes that look kind of like the star wars ones but not completely. Does anyone have any ideas for where I could start?

Congratulations, that was the stupidest remark the entire wargaming community has managed to produce in a long, long time.

Congratulations, your dismissive and conclusory commentary has provided nothing to this discussion or the wider community on whose behalf you arrogantly presume to speak nor does it engage in any meaningful way the remark it lamely targets. But you did manage to gain experience points toward your next level of internet tough guy.

If you're rich, the scout bike would be a good start - it gives you seated legs and correctly posed arms (although you'd probably change one to hold a lance) and a seat and handlebars, all of which would be a pain to make.

I've seen a number of hoverbike conversions for the marine bike, the scout bike should convert similarly.

Eldar Jetbikes without the front plate could work.

Or of course, you can use the actual speeder bikes. Add rivets, aquillas and miscellaneous equipment, and you should be good to go.

Just be prepared for some of the more fluff obsessed players to pick a bone with you over this one. IG hover bikes are about as viable fluffwise as female space marines. Then again, Female space marines usually end up being pretty cool, so hover bike away!

So, the Space Marines don't even have access to Jetbikes and you expect lowly Guardsmen to get them!? No way.

I say scrap the "Jet" aspect and just mod out some awesome 4-wheeled ATVs or basic Scout Bikes. It has been done, but it looks smart and won't rankle any fluff-lovers.
