Yes, G-range means it's a barrage weapon and therefore pinning.

In one game turn an Imperial guardsman can move 6", kill a few guys with his flamer, assault 6", kill two more guys with his bayonet, flee 12", regroup when assaulted, react 6", kill one more guy with his bayonet and then flee another 12".
So in one game turn an Imperial guardsman can move 42" and kill more than 5 people. At the same time a Chimera at top speed on a road can move 18"...

Webbe is right ... it's a pinning weapon that ignores cover saves. Just make sure you fire it far enough away not to scatter back on yourself.

I think he meant that the weapon ignores cover saves and since it is barrage, it pins.

Somewhere in south-central England.

I think the codex rule says it ignores cover like a flamethrower.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Yes it's a large blast guess range weapon with no cover save allowed. Course just about everyone is getting an armor save from it except guard and orks.

Nidz and Eldar also have some trouble with it.
