OK, I wasn't sure were to put this, but I have recently become very interested in titans. I know that it goes (smallest to largest) warhound, reaver, warlord, imperator. Now to me at least these beasts seem unstoppable, has anyone played a game with them? I would really like to know how they work game wise, I've read the stats be OMG, they seem ridiculous. Also does anyone how they are moved from planet to planet, fluff wise?

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made. |

Goto lexicanum.com and look it up. That site has a boat load of fluff for pretty much everything. And cheese is right though with as few words as possible, really big ass ships move those around.
Ive read some battle reports and have the APOC books on my PC, so Ive read some insane things they do. I never play APOC, but I cant think how the hell one titan can make craters where my whole army was. Its just crazy to me

When it dies, you roll a dice, on a 6, all models on the board take a strength 10 ap 1 hit.

Unhealthy Competition With Other Legions
|
I've just been going over tactics for our half built titan legion, and the biggest we have is a pair of warlords, but still. Those things wreck faces. (and everything else) IMHO the Warhound is the best titan point-for point, and a flotilla of them could get under the carapace's range and past the void sheilds with Turbo Lasers and rip it to pieces. Really, titans are rediculously powerfull right now, and a whole leigon of them, while currently untested, may just throw any game they are in into the "not fun anymore" catagory.

I was one team with a 5 foot high scratch built one once. Thing never got to shoot since our opponents outflanked a warlord and charged it/spent everything shooting that damn titan. But in the end nobody had any troops left and we won victory points something fierce. 14k a side and it was 10k to 4k or something like that. Good thing too, the two guys we were playing against are perfect examples of TFG

titans are great but only if you have an army to support them or else they are sitting targets!

Yeah Capt Reaper is right, Titans can crush whole armies but can easily lose if left unsupported.

I'm pretty sure that there will be nothing left of anything by the time it get's that close to an Imperator, it sports 10 heavy bolters and las cannons that have no minium range, and it's main gun has a min range of 12", also it recharges shileds ridiculously fast, and you need at least a strength 9 weapon to hurt it, also glances mean nothing.

Are we using the same Imperator rules? The new datasheet of the Imperator has much better guns than 10 Heavy Bolters. It could possibly lay down 36 Battle Cannon shots/turn with the main weapons laying out swathes of destruction. On the other hand, if you take 6 Vortex Support Missiles, you could instantly remove an area of the opponent's army equivalent to 471 square inches!
