In the last line of the Aegis ruling, it states "minor psychic powers used by the enemy have no effect on Grey Knights"

This came up in a tourney and I ruled that "minor psychic powers" consisted of psychic powers that do not require a psychic test. I further ruled that it only applied to powers used directly against the grey knights. ie Low power warp blast. Resident rules lawyer comes back two games later and claims that Conceal directly affects his grey knights and they should be able to shoot without give the DA a cover save. I ruled no (mostly b/c he is a sniveling little brat) I thought about it later and decided I wasn't so sure.

So, was my initial ruling correct. (would really appreciate some rule citations to back me up)
if so how about my follow-up

or am I totally wrong

minor powers don't exist in 5th edition. they are a 3rd edition thing, codex daemonhunters is just old. So, the rule has no effect at all.

You were totally wrong. (What? You asked. If you didn't want to hear the answer, don't ask the question.)

The rule no longer works. Ignore it, as there are no longer such things as "minor powers".

Minor psychic powers were something only ever in the 3rd edition of the game. Originally a WD article and then part of the CSM codex.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

you need to dig back a couple chaos codex to find minor psychic powers.

but as stated minor psychic powers no longer exist.

and as far as your grey knight player, veil of tears, and conceal work against grey knights just fine, and can no be canceled by hoods because they are just on and no test is taken to be cancelled.
