The FAQ for both Daemon Hunters and Witch Hunters says that I can take both forces as allies in the same army. Also their individual codices say that they may take 0-1 Elite choice. So I just wanted to check, seeing as it says that the Witch Hunters cannot have more than one Elite choice and the Daemon Hunters say that they may not take up more than one Elite choice. Does that mean that I can take an Elite choice from Daemon Hunters and also an Elite choice from Witch Hunters?

Yes, you can take 1 Elite DH, 1 Elite WH, and 1 Elite SM selection in a SM army list, for example.

It's for my IG based Adeptus Mechanicus army the difference this makes is that the HQ Inquisitor with Landraider I figured out is 390 points, while the Elite choice will be 270ish points instead.

If you're trying to do this in order to use an assassin, though, it doesn't work.

The Inquisitor needs to be from the same book as the assassin, as clarified in the FAQs.





If you reason for asking was nothing to do with assassins, then don't bother reading that last bit.
