Elite Tyranid Warrior

Greetings Dakkarites & Dakkarets. I'm not sure if this post is in the correct thread but I figure someone will let me know pretty soon if it isn't.
What with the release of the new Tyranid codex & the sudden update of the Games Workshop page today I am wondering what the latest 'hard as nails' Tyranid list will be.
I must say that I am intrigued about what the new lists will look like. Especially with the new news of Broodlords being upgrades to Genestealer units, Warriors being Troops, Zoanthropes being Elites & all the new toys.
I wonder if they'll make Gargoyles troops if you take a Winged Tyrant?
And I wonder if as the minimum amount of Gaunts has risen to X16 if the maximum amount will have risen to 64? It would be good if they have.
My pointless (until I see the new codex) Mock list.
HQ
Tyrant - Hopefully the dakka guy!
Tyrant - Winged
Elites
Pyrovore X3 (just for a laugh)
Troops
Warriors X9 (I wonder if these guys can still act as a HQ too? Maybe in 1500 point games etc)
Warriors X9
Warriors X9
Hormogaunts X64 (with 'without number' as standard on all Gaunts hopefully)
Gaunts X64
Gaunts X64
Heavy
Carnifex (hopefully a squad of 3)
Carnifex ( as above)
Maybe Biovores if they have made them worth using
Or.... One of these kick ass new bad boys.
I suspect I'll be getting a Trygon to be honest.
Any thoughts guys & girls.....?
I guess we'll all just have to wait for the codex.

It's hard to comment without any official information about what is what. This will have to wait till the codex comes out in January.
I can only hope they bring back Horde viability/survivability.

Cheers guys. I appreciate you both taking the time to reply. Seems like not many people are biting on this one.
Guess we'll all just have to wait & see.

Well it's hard to say. We don't know the new rules or points values. But saying that I will be including a trygon in my lists...unless it's crap (which it really shouldn't be).

Well Gaunts are going to cost less (although the stats will most likely be dummied down) to make them more swarmy.
Plastic Gargoyles.
Non-FW Trygon.
I think the new Tyranids will be succesful.
(AND BIOVORES ARE GOOD IN APOCALYPSE!!!)

It will all entirely depend on what new rules are introduced, new stat lines, unit sizes, choice-limits and new units.
I like the idea of an army comprised solely of tyranid warriors (and perhaps a tyrant). If the swarm options of flexibly/tactically viable then that will be fun too.
I think we will see something like the new 5th ed IG with the triple leman russes taking 1 Heavy Support slot.. but with close-combatable Carnifexes, tasty!

Thing is, the squadron rules make leman russes (and any other vehicles) much weaker. Squadron rules would make carnifexes much much stronger, especially if you can equip them differently within the squad. I dunno what to think without point costs and statlines, as has been said. Horde'o'gaunts may get a lot stronger, broodlords as genestealer squad leaders, and warriors as troops may open up some new army choices. But currently the premier tyranid tactic is loads of big bugs, and I'm not sure if that will get better or worse, or will trygons be powerful enough to take precedence over carnifexes. Will carnifexes still be available as elites?

Well they've alread posted some alleged confirmations on BotLS which attest to a few of your thoughts:
Hormogaunts: Improved Initiative, points halved.
Carnifexes: Squads of 3, improved BS.
Mawloc: a creature with the ability to fall back and burrow, then erupt the following turn doing 5" worth of Str 6 AP 2 hits.
Things like that here: http://www.belloflostsouls.net/2009/12/40k-rumors-latest-tyranid-rules.html
