Has anyone tried the Saganami Island Tactical Simulator game from Ad Astra? It uses the Attack Vector: Tactical game engine. I have read the Honor Harrington series and greatly enjoyed it. Just curious about the game.

I haven't played the game, but I do have some of the minis. Specifically, a Manticoran battlegroup. Includes a battlecruiser, some heavy cruisers, some light cruisers, and some destroyers (I think).

They are kind of small, and I think expensive for what you get. But the detail is nice, and they clean up easily.

Given the new firestorm game that is out, and the detail you get with the resin, I think these ships would be easy to replicate in resin, bigger, more detailed, for the same price.

A friend of mine has it, and I've been trying to get a grasp on the rules... poorly.

It's not as complicated as, say, Star Fleet Battles, but it really rewards a player who can think in three dimensions. The rest of us.... struggle.

Which is a shame because I love the novels, and would really like to play this game for fun.
