I am planning to get the battleforce and a hive tyrant aorund christmas and I need help.
-I need a good colur scheme, maybe pink flesh and yellow carapace
-What should I get after that? Maybe new Ravenors or Mawloc?
-What are some good tactics for nids?

No one has the complete rules yet, so any purchasing/list suggestions would be dubious at best.

As for your color scheme, just do some test schemes on the guants to see what looks good. The key to a good Nid scheme isn't really the two colors you choose, it's the tones of those colors, as well has highlights/patterns. Yellow and pink could look really good but could also look really bad.

If you want to use those two colors I'd say go for it and try to make it look really gross/sickly, using different color washes/etc. I'd also do a slight brownish tone to the yellow (like Tausept Ocre or Iyanden Darksun, which have the bonus of being Foundation Paints) at least for the darker areas. For the flesh, and what tones and washes to use, hunt down some of the better done Slaanesh paintjobs to use for reference.

Anything is better than doing the default schemes in the book imo.

I'd go light for the underbelly and dark for the armor plating 'up top'.

I can't say what tactics to give you because they may not be effective in the new codex.

As for the colour,what I did was put two coats of skull white all over the body followed by painting the carapace hormagaunt puple.The details like the eyes and claws I used red and for the veins I used scorpion green.
After all that wash it with badab black except on the genestealers where you keep the flesh white to make them stand out.

Buy plenty gaunts you can't go wrong with them.

Assuming you can get the new Gaunts boxes, as I hear they're pretty awesome. It's gonna be a long while before I can afford to start collecting them myself...
