If you're going by my online alias, this is V3STR1_N3X, otherwise known as Tony. I am very new to Warhammer 40K (my profile says 2008 but that is because it will not let me pick the year 2009) and am currently working on constructing a competitive 1750 point Ork army, most likely being Speed Freeks, and I would gladly welcome all the advice and help those here would be willing to share with me to help in this endeavor!

Little background information about me:
I turned 25 back in September (hooray, lower car insurance)...
I am enlisted in the United States Air Force (just back in 2008)...
I have played video games since I can remember, starting with the NES, I do believe one of the first games I beat was Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers (for the NES) and it actually was/is a good platformer made by Capcom...
I have played tabletop games since my Stepfather introduced me to them back when I was a teenager though most ventures have either been DnD (or other similar role-playing games) or Magic: The Gathering...
I love reading and writing
I absolutely love music, have much respect for all genres though I do tend to lean more towards music that is metal/alternative in nature...

I am looking forward to getting to know people on this site and hopefully become part of the community here. One thing I was really wanting to do but I am not sure if this is the place for it or not (please do let me know, if an admin/moderator happens to look at this post) was documenting the process of a completely new person to Warhammer 40K getting into the hobby, blogging with pictures (of my miniatures/paint/tools) what I bought, progress with construction, painting, eventual play with my army (among other things)... basically to help future newbies (like myself) get into this great hobby, hopefully being a useful resource to them. If that is something I could post on this site, or at least link to a page I start, that would be very cool indeed.

Thanks all for the warm welcome, I already am in love with this site and the community within it. Earlier tonight I created a topic on how I need help with constructing my first Ork army and received great advice (from multiple people) within an hour of me originally posting it. Already have made a buddy or two which is exciting as well. This 40K hobby was a great choice. Still wanting to meet new people within this community so shoot me a private message or a friend request if ya feel the need to. If anyone is near me geographically speaking I wouldn't mind playing ya at one of the stores in Amarillo, TX or Lubbock, TX when my army is finished. Thanks again!
