Warboss, who posts here on dakka as well cooked up a small 6 week campaign for our south Atlanta gaming group, so I pulled out my renegade
IG in the hopes that I may be able to " out odd" my way past a few of the tough players here.
The freed Daemonhost Krell'al smiled his lopsided grin, the effort ripping the flesh around his mouth...flesh that instantly re-knit itself in an even more horrible visage each healing. He had broken free of his bonds and now the Inquisitor whom had bound him knelt drooling at his side, His soul and army forfeit to the daemonhost. None of that mattered now though, as Krell'al wrestled with the tides of chaos to open the warp rift on Rigus Prime. The summoning felt odd, a felling of pure rages washing out of the gap linking real-space to the aether. The daemons he had hoped to summon tore at each other as they tore into reality, and behind them a huge daemon radiated hate and rage, but most of all pure insanity. The Daemonhost Krell'al knew that what ever came out of that portal would not be under his control.

The board setup was simple. A building in my lower right hand corner and a ruined building mid-field, no other terrain really mattered (like most daemon games)
The Inquisitor and Krell'al set up on the 3rd and upper most floor of my building. The
AC team took up the second and first floor. The demolisher set up to the right of the building, and the blob with command squads surrounded it. The poor vets infiltrate in the mid building to act as bait.
The mission was kill points.
Turn one.

The demolisher moves up 2"....
Daemons
He gets the wrong wave. Daemonettes come in right in front of the blob squad, they stick their landing. The demolisher brings them down to 3, the
PB also come in with the herald attached, they scatter 5" northwest of the daemonetts. The demolisher gets 2 of them. The soul grinder scatters 11" back to midfield ending up on the left of the vet building. It blasts the blob squad,
PCS and
AC team. they all go to ground and 3 blob members are killed. The
DP lands in the vet building
KP 1-o
Turn two.
IG
The
CCS doesn't want to end up on the bad side of a Daemonhost and orders the blob back up. A roll of double 1's sees me order up the other units as well. The Demolisher blasts the
PB down to 2 including the herald. the
PCS and inquisitor team with the Krell'al to blast down the daemonetts, The blob squad and
AC team blast the
DP down to one wound.
Daemons.
Skarbrand, skulltaker, and the bloodletter show up. Skarbrand lands beside the
DP and Skulltaker with his buddies land on the other side of the vets. The poor saps are surrounding by Skarbrand, Skulltaker and the
DP. The Demolisher is able to knock down to of the letters as they come in, most of the blast hitting the building itself (coversaves). The Soulgrinder blasts the
CCS and the go to ground. only 2 survive. One vet even dies to the Plague heralds Aura! The vets are Pavaned to the
DP and assaulted. 2 are killed but they can't finish off the
DP. They fail to run.... We forgot Skarbrands re rolls.

Turn 3
IG
The demolisher claims 2 more bloodletters, Mass shooting sees the last
PB killed and Skarbrand loses a wound. The vets lose 3 more still fail to kill the
DP and still stay in combat. Brave fools.
Daemons. Horrors come in using the herald's icon and the demolisher claims 2. They then fry. Blob members. The Bloodletters stumble 3" in an effort to leave the vet building. The soulgrinder scatters off of the Demolisher. Skarbrand assaults the vets....You know what happened. the Plague herald is more slow than anything else and doesn't reach the
CCS squad in assault.

Turn 4.

The blob squad unloads on the Herald. 43 shots latter it lives. The
CCS squad takes him down itself. The
PCS and Inquisitor take down the horror squad and Everything else unloads on the Slannesh daemonprince. He takes it like pro and lives.
Daemons
The bloodletters Clear the vet building. Skarbrand moves in front of the blob squad the
DP moves into the vet building. Soulgrinder fire shakes the demolisher. In the Assault, Skarbrand hits the Blob and
PCS. The Enslaved Inquisitor in response Opens his robe and shows his (un)Holy relic, granting +1A to the
IG who are in it's range. Skarbrand Claims 5 skulls but is punched, kicked, bitten and head butted by angry guardsmen. He survives with one wound (darn).

Turn 5.
IG
The
CCS runs behind the Combat to avoid becoming an easy kill point. Everything than can fires at the
DP. The Auto cannon team is ordered to bring it down, The Inquisitor Opens up with his Psy-cannon. Krell'al rolls 12 str6 hits with arc-lighting. When the dust clears the
DP stands there giggling. In combat, Skarbrand claims 4 more skulls but is banish By a Upper-cut from a power fist. The blob consolidates 3" back.
Daemons.
The soulgrinder took off the demolisher cannon with a perfect shot. In Assault, Skulltaker and friends reap an Horrible tally only the commissar from the
PCS 3 sergeants and 2 troopers remain, although the bloodletters are down to 4.

The game is going south and I could really do with it ending here. It continues.
Turn 6
IG
The
CCS continues to run and hide behind the building they started the game protecting. Everything that can fires at the
DP. The last arc-lighting hit kills it. Skulltaker finishes off the blob squad and
PCS, moving closer to the
CCS.
Daemons. Sensing blood, the Soulgrinders blasts the tracks off the Demolisher, it's slowly being taken apart. Skulltaker catches the
CCS and eats them.

Ok that was rough, good thing the game...continues....
Turn 7
IG
Autocannon shoots at the Soulgrinder in the hopes of stunning it, oh yeah it's possessed. The Krell'al shoots an Lighting arc at skulltaker but his collar isn't having any of that. The rest of my shooting downs one bloodletter.
Daemons
The souldgrinder fires on the Inquisitor and Krell'al. They go to ground and are spared. Skulltaker detaches from the bloodletters and they both slam into the
AC team, who in turn are slaughtered.
The game ends.

The giant raging Skulltaker loomed over Krell'al. " Mutant! Abomiation! you are worse than a half breed Daemonprince! Worse and less as well. Your skull will please the blood god!" For his part Krell'al launched every ounce of power that remained in his broken body at the hell-beast. The Warp rift had closed hours ago but Skulltaker had remained fueled by naught but his rage. Relying on an old trick, the Daemonhost teleported behind skulltaker atempting to gore him with the foot long horns atop his skull. Skulltaker was having non of that however Snaching the Daemonhost by the head and forcing Krell'al down to one knee. "A sneek atack from behind? Coward, I didn't think even one such as yourself could stoop so low!" Ste searing blade in skulltaker's hand raised up for the killing blow. Defeated, the daemonhost closed his eyes, although he couldn't close his ears to the mocking laughter. The blade never fell. Skulltaker's time was up. Krell'all had won. The lopsided smile returned.
High Praise! goes to the lowly vet squad. They did thier jobs and died a horrific and very painful death.
Utter Damnation! Goes to the whole army for failing to finish off a one wound Slannesh
DP.
Foe most feared! goes to the Slannesh
DP. It was made from a broodlord body with a chaos spawn body sitting on top of it, and Ogre arms topped of with a Daemonette head. I'm sure my army didnt know where to aim to kill it.
P.S. I hate skulltaker now.
