I'm wondering if anyone knows where I could go to get custom brass etching done. I want to make sheets similar to what Forgeworld puts out...

... only with custom iconography on them, and maybe flame motifs that could be bent around a marine's shoulder pad or legs.

Is anyone familiar with such a service? I've been looking, but the ones I've found are located principally in Europe, which is a bit far.

look around for a local laser engraving place....There are a few near me but i'd say look locally first.

I'd ask around on scale modeling forums like Armorama.com and Finescale.com. Custom photoetch is a rare requirement, but those guys will probably have a lead.

The supply does not get to make the demands.

micromark carries their own kit for the DIY sort (which you seem to be! ) Design it on the computer and print it on special paper that acts as a resist for the acid.
