Subject: Wraithsight fail and tank shock

Hi,
A situation came up in my last game where my opponent's wraithlord failed his wraithsight roll.
I was in a position where I could actually tank shock him with a nearby land raider and given the description of the wraithsight rule (cannot basically take action and is automatically hit in melee) we played it as his wraithlord being instantly killed.
Should this have been played differently?
Thanks.

I don't think anything in Wraithsight implies that they can't fall back &/or take a Morale check? It's basically referring to the [Eldar] player's turn when it says they can't move/shoot/etc. Especially because it says that it expires @ the end of their [Eldar] turn. I might be totally wrong there, but that's my interpretation?

Theres nothing about their turn,
pg 46 co,e
...inactive models may not move shoot assault or attack in close combat, and are hit auto in close combat.
may not move, fallback move is moving, id think it would be destroyed? like guys in a wrecked in their movement phase by flat out vehicle? although i think that only applys to the movement phase the vehicle is going flatout, not in the following shooting phase of their opponent.

The sentence right before the one you quoted says that they are inactive until the end of their turn.

dude, it's the sentence before the one you quoted, which says ''...inactive until the end of their turn.'' which to me implies their turn, ie. the Eldar turn. But I guess that's why they call it ''RAI.'' lol, sorry, I'm not as quick as Insaniak!

I think it's definitely more than just an implication.
The Wraithlord is only inactive until the end of his turn. So anything that happens to him in the following player's turn will not be affected by Wraithsight, as its effect has finished.

Yes, you should have played it differently. Since wraithsight only is active during the eldar turn, the tank-shocked wraithlord should've been able to DOG/move aside as the eldar player wished.
