We worked for 30-60 minutes an evening after homework was done. She loves it.
It was pretty simple.
Black spray primer (cheap store brand)
Big glop of Folkart white next to big glop of Folkart black craft paints on an old plastic coffee lid, mix the middle of the glops to get different gray shades, add glop
fo brown to get some tannish grays.
*I use the big bottles of cheap craft paints for terrain projects. All the detail was also done with cheap craft paints but I get those colors in the normal sized bottles.
Drybush a few shades onto each piece, getting lighter as you go.
Pick out some individual rocks/sections with the tannish colors to make them stand out.
You can't see it in the pictures but I also filled in the bottom of the well with a piece of plastic card cut to fit then glued in so that the table won't show through.
