- Last details we got were that Dan Abnett was writing the movie.
- Space Marine is supposed to come out in May for Xbox 360 and PS3.
- Dawn of War II: Chaos Rising is the new expansion pack coming out in March.

What.. THIS MOVIE?!?!?!

http://ultramarinesthemovie.com/

Can't you feel the scream as if millions of souls have been extinguished at once? There is a tremor in the GW force....

As others have said... The end times are upon them.

You don't pull a move like this off unless your stuff is tight. Remember, this is not a mainstream hobby. BUT now you go out make a movie geared at the masses and see the nerdrage battlescreams and terrorist fistwaves of vengence that will make 300 run and cry and see what it is going to do for this game.

NOW we are going to start seeing Space Marines in Happy Meals, Ultramarine energy drinks, action figures, assorted toys, games, and all the fixings, and finally we get a 40K MMO on the horizen." Rings the bells and flatulates"

This is a dark and terrible era where WE will find little comfort or hope. We are on the verge of becoming mainstreamed, Resistance is Futile.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

It's a direct to DVD release for feths sake, so not all hope is lost. Plus chances of this becoming something widespread outside of select stores and of course, GW stores is small. Unless it really is great and gains an outside gathering.

Not until the Saturday Morning TV show and the toiletry that usually comes when someone makes a movie based on a game.

Gotta say, I doubt they're aiming mainstream with this, or at least not watering it down to appeal to folks outside the spectrum. The fact that Abnett wrote the screenplay should in part tell you that. If you still have doubts, take a look at this - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBsWc1i4Cr4 - around 1:09 specifically, but the whole video is a good watch for the info it provides. I have to say, despite my feelings towards GW turning sour, I still have high hopes for this.
