As most of you know, GW is finally putting out a group of Legion of the Damned models. Now, before i get all "OOOH SHINEY" on the new minis, i wanted to know how useful the unit is as a whole?

Proxy it in a game against a friend. See how they work for you.

They look good in certain contexts, like using those fancy invulnerable saves to stay off some terminators, or mega nobs, but against a hoard army were you might as well have the armour saves, not so much. Depends on who you play and what they field.

I have looked at this unit as a whole. mainly for the fact that I play CF and I wanted to incorparte them for fluff reasons. If you want to know if they are worth-while. I truley don't believe they are. They are too expensive for what you get. You don't have the options to make them good, and they can only deep strike in. If you were to spend the points on them, you might as well play a 5 man Vanguard squad with jump packs. Seems like a better play overall. Hope this helps
