What's the general consensus on a Dreadnought running and then using smoke.

If I recall correctly, 1 prevents you from shooting and 1 replaces shooting. So, is it okay to do both in 1 turn or no?

I haven't checked the BRB but my gut tells me you should be allowed to either run or pop smoke, but not both in the same phase.

I'll put my vote there until smarter (re: less lazy) folk step forward and show me up!

Yup, the Walker shooting rules specifically allow it.

If running actually depended on you being able to shoot and forgoing it... Genestealers would be very very angry as they have no ranged weapons. Models with heavy weapons would ofc also be unable to run if they moved normally. And let's not forget that you can't shoot if there's no legal target.

Lucky for us the box about Run in the shooting section specifically mentions how popular a choice it is for units without ranged weapons or no target. ;-)
